Why Local?

Isidore Foods believes in building local food economies. Encouraging our community to enjoy local food increases our food security as a nation and adds to the prosperity of our local economy. Local food also decreases the amount of greenhouse gases used to transport your food to your dinner plate.

We live in the Mid-Atlantic and have tremendous resources to create a sustainable farm community. Isidore Foods goal is to make local foods more accessible and convenient. Why should we not enjoy local food when it is quite simply the best food available? Remember there are working families behind every local food business, including Isidore Foods. Your food dollar counts!

Why Organic?

Organic foods taste better and contain more essential nutrients than conventional foods. Conventional foods can carry harmful pesticides, so reducing your family’s exposure to these harmful chemicals leads to a reduction of risk that ranges from food allergies to cancer.  Organic foods help reduce the amount of agricultural chemicals that affect wildlife and water quality, and organic produce also protects one of our nation’s most valuable resources – top soil. Organic farmers add natural fertilizers to their farms each year to keep their soil healthy and alive.

Where do all your products come from?

We source our produce from local farms within 100 miles of Pittsburgh, Columbus and Cleveland. We work with a growing network of farms directly on a year-around basis. Our members’ support helps these local farms become more stable and increase their production. If we need to go outside our 175 mile sourcing range, you will be the first to know.

Are all your products local?

All of our vegetables, fruit, dairy, meat and breads come from farms and artisans within 175 miles of Pittsburgh, Columbus and Cleveland.  Our dry goods come from both local, regional and national suppliers.  We rely heavily on two Amish communities for our dried goods - one in Holmes County, Ohio and one in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Are all your products organic?

Depending on the week and season, the majority of our produce is Certified Organic.  We understand, however, that many of our local producers use sustainable farming practices without certification.  Each week we send out an email to our produce customers listing the products, farms and production methods.  At this time, none of our dairy or meat products are Certified Organic but the majority of our producers are using rotational grazing and feeding their none or a limited amount of grains.  Information about the growing practices of our local farmers can be obtained from from our website at www.isidorefoods.com/farms.php.

Questions about Registration and Delivery

How do I sign up for Isidore Foods?

You can sign-up by clicking the JOIN link. Simply fill in all of the fields of the sign-up form and click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page. 

Once you have completed your online registration, your account is active and you can begin ordering.

What if I missed my scheduled delivery?

Contact Customer Service at (412) 400-4721 or info@isidorefoods.com and we will make arrangements for you to receive your delivery.

Can I get my order delivered to my workplace?

You may be able to receive your delivery at your workplace. Get a total of 10 employees together and we will deliver to your workplace. Contact Customer Service at info@isidorefoods.com or (412) 400-4721 to find out more.

Can I get my order delivered to my neighborhood?

You may be able to receive your delivery in your neighborhood. Volunteeer to be a host (you get 30% off all your orders) and get together 10 of your neighbors and we will deliver to your neighborhood. Contact Customer Service at info@isidorefoods.com or (412) 400-4721 to find out more.

What time do you deliver?

Orders are delivered from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Our pickup locations and times can be found at www.isidorefoods.com/pickup.php.

What are my options if I live outside your delivery area?

You may be able to have your order delivered to your workplace or a neighborhood we serve near you.  Please check our pickup locations and times at www.isidorefoods.com/pickup.php.  For new delivery locations (you may want to be a host for your neighborhood), contact Customer Service at info@isidorefoods.com or (412) 400-4721.

Are there any fees for your service?

There are no sign-up or membership fees for our service.  There is no order minimum.  The deadline for cancellation of orders is Sunday by 7 p.m. A fee may be applied for late cancellations.

Questions about Account Changes

What if I need to take a break from the service?

No problem. Isidore Foods is a flexible service that allows you to cancel specific orders or temporarily cancel your account.  Just contact Customer Service at (412) 400-4721 or info@isidorefoods.com .

What if I need to cancel my order?

You must cancel your order no later than Sunday at 7 p.m. before your scheduled delivery.  To cancel, just contact Customer Service at (412) 400-4721 or info@isidorefoods.com

What do I do if I am not satisfied with my order?

Your satisfaction is very important to us, and your feedback is helpful.  Please notify Customer Service via e-mail or phone at (412) 400-4721 or info@isidorefoods.com as soon as possible if you are not satisfied with your order.  We will either replace the item or give you a refund.  Refunds may take 2 to 3 days to process. Feedback must be received within 3 days of your order to be eligible for a replacement or refund.

What do I do if my order is missing an item?

We take great pride in packing each order accurately. Please notify Customer Service via e-mail or phone at (412) 400-4721 or info@isidorefoods.com by 9 a.m. the day after delivlery and we may be able to bring you the missing item(s).  If delivery is not available or needed, we are happy to give you a refund.  Refunds may take 2 to 3 days to process. Feedback must be received within 3 days of your order to be eligible for a replacement or refund.

What do I do if I want to change the frequency of my deliveries?

You can switch your delivery frequency from weekly to biweekly or biweekly to weekly any time you like.  Please contact Customer Service at (412) 400-4721 or info@isidorefoods.com and we will make the switch for you.

How do I change my credit card information?

You can not change your credit card information from our website.  Please contact Customer Service at (412) 400-4721 or info@isidorefoods.com and we will update the information for your account on our secured payment website.

What do I do if I am not receiving my Isidore Foods emails?

E-mails are very important to the Isidiore Foods delivery service, so we want to make sure you are receiving the alerts you need.  First, log in to your account and make sure that your e-mail address is correct on the Account Information Page.

If the email is correct, add david@isidorefoods.com, john@isidorefoods.com, alyson@isidorefoods.com and info@isidorefoods.com to your Safe Senders List/E-mail Address Book to keep our e-mails from going into a Junk or Spam folder. If this problem persists, please contact Customer Service at (412) 400-4721.
